The Closing of the American Boarder

By Edward Alden

Before the attacks on September 11, 2001, The United States was one of the most welcoming country in the world. Since that terrible day, America has increased security. Our number one concern should be to prevent another attack using whatever measure we must to ensure that.
This book explains the struggles the Bush administration experienced by attempting to ensure security and also to remain an open and accepting country. It is important to keep the boarders open to trading and expanding our economy but also to limit the immense amount of illegal immigration that is constantly entering seemly unnoticed or without alarming citizens. This delicate balance should not be throw to the side in favor of less volatile issues.
